Today we made our way over the Cascade Mountains and finally saw some sunshine! The morning started cold and misty again and stayed that way for the first sixteen mile climb to Stevens Pass, elevation 4,061 feet. At About 8 miles into the climb we stopped to have a look at Deception Falls. This was about the only thing we saw on the way up because of the cold and mist it was like riding inside a cloud. Once we crested the summit and started our decent the weather totally changed. The sun came out and it really warmed up. It turned out to be a very scenic ride.
Total miles for today: 75
Elevation gain: 4,623.
