Day 17: Dubois to Riverton

Today’s ride took us through the Wind River Valley.  Beautiful Red Rocks and the winding wind river.  The route was mostly downhill today with a few climbs tossed in. It made for a quick first 40 miles and we were at lunch before 10:15. I was thinking man this is a great recovery ride!

After lunch the temperature really heated up and the wind also picked up.  So much for recovery!  Between the heat and the wind the last 40 mules were work! But the good thing is we made in before 1:30 so we are getting some good down time this afternoon.

Not many pictures today and unfortunately I didn't get a good picture of wind river.

Stats: 82.4 miles and only 1,497 feet of elevation gain.  Temperature is 93 degrees.
