So before we set out this morning we all thought we were going to have another day of headwinds. The first 14 miles delivered a very strong crosswind but then from there we zigzagged east and north so got some breaks from the wind. No major climbs today just a bunch of rollers. The farmland is looking much greener here than it has the past few days and we actually had a few shade trees! Our lunch stop was in the little town of Hayti. There was a nice lake there and a fun looking Bar called the Renegades Saloon.
Today, Terri was set on getting in early to get a haircut so she was definitely the pacesetter beast today! Wind or no wind she was getting to town! We even caught the fast guys and rode in with them to Dempsey’s a really nice microbrewery/restaurant in Watertown. After, we left there we headed to great clips and then to our overnight location the Watertown Middle school. It has to be the biggest middle school I have ever seen and brand new. Very nice! Tomorrow we are in Minnesota!
Stats: 66 miles, 1,320 feet of elevation gain
