Day 34 Montevideo to Hutchinson

This was one of those days they call a connector day.  A day where you are just putting in the miles to get to your next stop. The roads were really rough for the fist 1/2 of the trip. In fact,  so rough that tonight at awards someone gave Dan, our route guy, the Thump Thump award for the 1,460 thumps we went over.  You know, those road separation things about 15 feet apart!  I was ready to throw in the towel then about 30 miles out the roads improved!  When we got in we of course sought out Ice cream but then also stopped at the pub!

We also, gave out awards tonight.  One to Kathy for being “One Tough Cookie” and another to Adrian as it was his last day with us.  He has done such a great job of capturing pictures he got the “Personal Photographer” award. Then, Terri surprised me with a Grandma on the way award “Sugarbabies”.  She is so sweet!

They are calling for storms tomorrow so we are heading out early!

Stats:  88 miles, 974 feet of elevation gain.

Lunch stop under the corn

Looks like home!
