Day 36 Layover in Northfield MN

 A beautiful, cool, blue skies day today!  We are enjoying just exploring downtown Northfield and sitting outside by the river. Cute town known for the the defeat of the Jesse James/Younger gang. If you are a history buff here is a link: http://www.northfieldhistory.org/the-bank-raid/

Week 5 “Mighty Rivers” in the books.  We traveled 490 miles this week with not much elevation gain 8,245. Only big river was the Missouri River. I believe we will cross the Mississippi tomorrow. We watched the terrain grow greener as the week went on, rode in our first real storm, had an epic awards night, saying goodbye to two riders Jon and Adrian but hello to a couple new folks who we will meet tonight.
